Charlize Theron’s Youthful Look at 50 Gets Everyone Talking and a Surgeon Gives His Take
Charlize Theron is back in the spotlight after posting new close-up photos on Instagram that quickly caught everyone’s attention.
The actress, who turned 50 this year, showed off a fresh, smooth look that left many people surprised at how youthful she appeared. Her hair was loose around her face, her makeup was simple, and her skin looked clear and bright. Fans immediately began talking about how she didn’t seem to have any wrinkles at all.
As the photos spread online, the Daily Mail reached out to Dr. Kahn, a Beverly Hills specialist, to ask what might be behind Charlize’s glowing appearance.
He told the outlet that it was “unusual” for someone her age to look that wrinkle-free and suggested that she might have tried a treatment known as HALO, a laser procedure that mixes two types of wavelengths.
He explained that “It is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses two wavelengths: ablative and non-ablative,” and shared that it can refresh the top layer of skin while warming deeper layers. According to him, this may boost collagen and help soften signs of aging.
Dr. Kahn also mentioned that Charlize could be using peptide serums, which he described as very popular in skincare at the moment.
He said, “Peptides is all the rage now in skincare… It also makes the skin overall firmer,” adding that these ingredients may help the skin stay hydrated and calm. He also pointed out that some people turn to exosomes for anti-aging and called them “cutting-edge regenerative skincare for anti-aging.”
Even though experts continue to guess what she might be using, Charlize has said before that she hasn’t had facial plastic surgery.
In a 2023 interview with Allure, she made it clear that she’s simply getting older. She said, “My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and aging,” and added that people sometimes assume she had work done when she didn’t. “They’re like, ‘What did she do to her face?’ I’m like, ‘B****, I’m just aging!’” she said at the time.
