Few young actors have gone from unknown to in-demand as quickly as Chase Infiniti. Just over a year ago she was a newcomer making her feature film debut, and now her name is attached to some of the most talked-about projects on the horizon.

Her breakout came in Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘One Battle After Another’, where she played Willa Ferguson opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. The performance earned her nominations at the Actor Awards, the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs, while the film itself won 4 Golden Globes, including best motion picture in the musical or comedy category, and went on to receive 13 Oscar nominations. It also made her one of the most sought-after names in young Hollywood.

This week, fans got another glimpse of the actress, as new glamorous photos from her Instagram stories started circulating online. The images show Infiniti with long dark waves, statement earrings and a deep red strapless dress with beaded detailing. They arrive as her career is moving in several directions at once.

Her biggest recent news is her first film role since ‘One Battle After Another’. Infiniti will star in ‘Portrait of God’, a horror feature from rising filmmaker Dylan Clark, with Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele producing. It is the first time Raimi and Peele are working together as producers, and Lionsgate has greenlit the film for production after it moved over from Universal.

The movie is based on Clark’s 2022 short of the same name, which follows a religious young woman who studies a provocative painting of God and begins to suspect something on the other side can see her. The short has drawn about 10 million views on YouTube. Clark wrote the feature script with Joe Russo, who is also producing, and sources describe the film as a new twist on religious horror.

A teaser posted to Lionsgate’s Instagram featured an ominous line from the Book of Exodus, “No man shall see me and live.” No release date has been announced, and Clark’s ‘Blair Witch’ reboot, set for September 24, 2027, comes first. Clark has said that Infiniti blew him away in ‘One Battle After Another’.

Infiniti has also made her mark on television. She plays Agnes in Hulu’s ‘The Testaments’, the ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ follow-up, which earned her an Emmy nomination, and work on the second season is underway. Before her film breakout, she appeared in Apple TV+’s legal thriller ‘Presumed Innocent’.

Her next release is a very different kind of project. ‘The Julia Set’, an indie coming-of-age drama from writer-director Niki Byrne, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this year. Infiniti plays Julia, a gifted mathematician in a highly competitive academic environment, alongside Christopher Briney as Pascal, a teaching assistant who recruits her into an elite program preparing for one of the world’s toughest math competitions.

The cast of ‘The Julia Set’ also includes Jason Isaacs, Gillian Anderson and Chlöe Bailey. At TIFF, Infiniti and her co-stars talked about the preparation it took to authentically portray mathematicians and about trusting Byrne’s vision. A release date for the film has not yet been announced.

Taken together, the projects show an actress deliberately mixing genres. A prestige drama, a dystopian TV franchise, an indie coming-of-age film and a horror feature produced by two genre heavyweights make for an unusually wide range so early in a career. The risk of getting typecast after such a major debut is real, and her choices suggest she is avoiding it.

For fans, the photo posts are just the latest sign that she is firmly in the spotlight. The bigger question is which of these roles will define the next chapter of her career.

Which upcoming Chase Infiniti project are you most excited to see?
