CinemaCon Panel Confirms Sue Will Be Pregnant in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is coming out on July 25, 2025 and the movie is one of the most highly-anticipated Marvel outings in recent years. Why? Well, with MCU taking over the Fantastic Four in a proper way, it is expected that the titular group will finally get a movie they deserve.

Kevin Feige took over the movie and together with Matt Shakman, he will hopefully deliver a proper movie that the fans will love. The hype is certainly there.

But, as you might have assumed, a lot of rumors and theories have been swirling around, especially about Sue Storm, and we can now confirm that one major question has been answered at CinemaCon.

We know that First Steps won’t be an origin story and that it will follow the titular group at a certain period in their careers. We have also been told that Franklin Richards, the son of Reed and Sue, would make an appearance in the movie.

And since the nature of his appearance was not confirmed, many fans began making theories about his appearance. Some assumed that he would be a young boy at the time of the movie, others that he would have just a cameo, but there were also theories that Sue would be pregnant in the movie and that Franklin would appear as a baby.

Until now, these theories were just that, but we can confirm that Marvel has – at CinemaCon – confirmed that Sue Storm will be pregnant in the movie, which settles the issue of Franklin’s appearance.

We don’t know at what point in the movie he is going to appear and how it is going to be tied into the overall plot, but it seems that Sue’s pregnancy will be a very important plot element. We cannot wait to see how it plays out!
