Players who already own Civilization VII on the original Nintendo Switch will have the option to upgrade to the Switch 2 version. This upgrade will include the new mouse function, giving returning players an improved way to experience the game.

According to 2K, the game will let players shape the course of history by making crucial decisions that influence their empire’s cultural growth. Players will be able to:

  • Build cities and construct architectural wonders
  • Research technologies to improve their civilization
  • Compete or cooperate with other civilizations
  • Explore new lands and expand their territory

Whether players choose to follow real history or create their own unique civilization, they will leave a legacy that lasts through the ages.

With new controls and enhanced features, this version promises to deliver an exciting way to play one of the most popular turn-based strategy games ever made.
