‘Claymore’ Anime Leaves Crunchyroll, Leaving Fans With a Legal Problem
Crunchyroll has removed the classic anime Claymore from its streaming library, making it much harder for fans to watch the series legally.
The anime, a favorite from Shonen Jump, has long been part of Crunchyroll’s extensive collection, which includes both new hits and older shows that viewers love to revisit.
Reports from accounts like @MangaAlerts on X indicate that Claymore is no longer available on Crunchyroll’s website. “At the time of this writing, it’s no longer available on the website but can still be accessed through Crunchyroll’s extensions with other services like YouTube Premium and Roku,” they noted.
However, if the anime has been fully removed from the library, it may not stay accessible through these extensions for much longer.

• You can "technically" still watch it via their Amazon Video Channel/Roku Channel (but it might get removed soon)
• With that said, there's now (AFAIK) no other legal way to watch the anime as of reporting pic.twitter.com/KdUL5Ti1Et
The likely reason for the removal is licensing. When a streaming license expires, platforms often must take down the show until a new agreement is reached. This is a common issue for many older series, and unfortunately, Claymore is one of the latest titles affected.
Fans can still purchase the series through services like Apple TV, but it doesn’t match the convenience of streaming directly on Crunchyroll. For viewers who rely on the platform for both new and classic anime, losing access to Claymore is a noticeable gap in the library.
