Crunchyroll Releases ‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’ Trailer, Starting the Thrilling Three-Part Finale
Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have just dropped the trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, giving fans a first look at what’s coming next. This movie is the first part of a new three-film finale that will end the entire Demon Slayer story. It’s a huge moment for fans of the show.
The movie will hit theaters in North America on September 12, and it’s going to be shown in IMAX and other big-screen formats. That means fans will get to see the action on some of the biggest and best screens out there.
The story kicks off right after the “Hashira Training” arc, which was the latest part of the series. The new film covers the “Infinity Castle” arc from the original manga by Koyoharu Gotoge.
Things get serious fast. Muzan Kibutsuji, the main villain of the series, launches a surprise attack, and Tanjiro, along with the Demon Slayer Corps, ends up inside the enemy’s stronghold—the dark and creepy Infinity Castle.
The trailer shows a lot of action and dramatic moments from this part of the story. There are intense fights and emotional scenes, which have fans already getting excited.
The movie is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, who has directed the series before, and the animation is being done by ufotable, the studio behind the rest of the show.
Along with the movie, there are two brand-new theme songs. One is “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” by Aimer. The other is “Shine in the Cruel Night” by LiSA. Both songs will be released on music streaming platforms on July 18.
Demon Slayer has become one of the most successful anime franchises in history. The first movie, Mugen Train, made over $500 million worldwide. It became the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time and also the most successful R-rated animated film ever. In the U.S. alone, it made nearly $50 million, which was a huge deal for an anime movie.
But it’s not just the movies. Demon Slayer has earned billions more from manga, music, merchandise, and streaming. Crunchyroll has been a big part of that, and it’s clear they’re putting a lot into the release of these new films. Sony, which owns Crunchyroll, is focused on growing its anime business, and this movie is a big part of that plan.
The full Demon Slayer series is available now on Crunchyroll for anyone who wants to catch up or rewatch it. There are also music albums and live concert recordings from the show that fans can listen to on streaming services.
The Infinity Castle movie is expected to pull in big numbers and bring in not just hardcore anime fans, but also casual moviegoers. With three movies to finish the series, and this being the start of that journey, it’s clear that Demon Slayer is going out in a big, dramatic way.
