Crunchyroll has quietly removed several popular anime from its streaming platform, leaving fans surprised and frustrated.

Death Parade was officially taken down today without any warning, following Claymore, which was removed just yesterday. A few hours later, Parasyte: The Maxim was also pulled from the service.

Fans are upset about the sudden removals because there was no notice. Many argue that Crunchyroll should provide a “leaving soon” warning, similar to what Netflix does, so viewers can finish watching a series before it disappears.

All of the removed titles appear to have one thing in common: they were produced by Madhouse. Some fans speculate that there could be issues with the studio that are preventing Crunchyroll from renewing the streaming licenses.

The anime affected have all received positive feedback from both critics and viewers. Death Parade has been praised for its unique concept and emotional storytelling, exploring themes of morality and human nature in creative ways.

Parasyte: The Maxim is known for its intense action and thought-provoking narrative about humans and alien parasites, earning high marks for its animation and depth. Claymore also has a strong following, appreciated for its dark fantasy world and well-developed characters, particularly the female warriors at the center of the story.

The sudden disappearance of these titles leaves fans in many countries without a legal way to stream them. Social media has been full of viewers expressing disappointment and questioning why Crunchyroll removed such popular shows so quietly.
