Daredevil Meets Spider-Man at Last: Charlie Cox Poses With Spidey at Disneyland Paris
Marvel fans have spent years asking when Daredevil and Spider-Man might finally share a screen in a meaningful way. It hasn’t happened in live action yet, but a very different crossover has just landed. Charlie Cox, the man behind Matt Murdock, has been photographed shaking hands with Spider-Man in the most theme-park way possible.
Cox has played Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, since 2015, beginning with the Netflix series ‘Daredevil’. He reprised the role in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘, ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ and ‘Echo’, and he returned to a starring role in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. That long history makes any Cox and Spider-Man image feel like a wink at the fans.
Now Disneyland Paris has shared photos of the actor meeting the web-slinger at Avengers Campus, and Cosmic Marvel posted them on X. In one shot, Cox stands with his arms crossed in a dark T-shirt, grinning next to a Spider-Man who mirrors the pose. In the other, the pair shake hands in front of a giant spider-emblem backdrop, with Cox wearing shorts and sneakers in a decidedly off-duty look.

The park’s caption joked that even really good lawyers have to go on holidays sometimes, adding that Cox, Daredevil himself, took time off during his trip to meet Spider-Man. It is a nod to Matt Murdock’s day job, and to the fact that the two heroes have rarely had a proper moment together.
Avengers Campus opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris in 2022, and it is where guests can meet heroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man and Captain Marvel. Its headline attractions include Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. The Hero Training Center offers closer encounters with Spider-Man and other Avengers, which is likely where the photo op happened.
The timing is fun because Cox’s Daredevil is heading into a Spider-Man team-up of a different kind. He is set to reprise his role as the voice of Matt Murdock in season 2 of ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’, the animated Disney+ series set in an MCU-adjacent universe. A first teaser at D23 revealed a comics-accurate red suit for Daredevil, and season 1 already featured a rooftop fight between the two heroes.
The live-action route has been less satisfying. Daredevil does not appear in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, even though Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and the Hand both do. Cox had long denied a return, and TheWrap confirmed there isn’t even a passing mention of him. Rosario Dawson has also said she shot a scene for the film that was cut.
That leaves fans with a lingering question. In ‘No Way Home’, Matt only interacted with Peter as his lawyer, and the characters have never suited up together on the big screen.
The news arrives right after ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was renewed for a final third season, according to TheWrap, which reported that it will air on Disney+ in 2027. Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones are set to reprise Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist in the upcoming season, bringing back the Netflix-era crossover ‘The Defenders’.
That ending has fueled speculation about Cox’s next move. Nerdist suggested it could be a fifth Spider-Man movie, a Marvel Special Presentation or another Disney+ project, and it said Marvel is unlikely to shelve Daredevil for long. For now, that is speculation, but a smiling photo at Avengers Campus is enough to keep the conversation going.
Cox has also spoken about how much he enjoys the character, and the vacation photos suggest he is comfortable poking fun at the hype. It is a reminder that in Marvel’s world, even a theme park photo can feel like a teaser.
