David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown Share Laughs and Hugs at ‘Stranger Things’ Premiere Amid Controversy and Harassment Claims
David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown shared a warm moment at the Stranger Things season 5 premiere in Los Angeles, arriving together on the red carpet.
The two actors laughed, hugged, and posed for photos, showing a public display of camaraderie despite recent controversy. Brown, 21, plays Eleven on the hit Netflix series, while Harbour, 50, portrays her adoptive father, Jim Hopper.
Netflix shared a video of their arrival with the caption, “David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown arrive together for one last Stranger Things premiere 🥹.”

This public display comes after a report by The Daily Mail on November 1, revealing that Brown had filed a harassment and bullying lawsuit against Harbour. According to sources, “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. The investigation went on for months.”
Harbour and Brown have worked closely together since filming began for the first season in Atlanta in September 2015, when Brown was just 11 years old.
In earlier press appearances, both actors spoke about their offscreen father-daughter bond. Brown, then 14, told audiences at PaleyFest in Los Angeles in 2018, “We went through so many different emotions… we get angry at each other, we are like father and daughter.”
Since news of the lawsuit broke, past interviews hinting at discomfort have resurfaced. A March 2024 MTV interview recently circulated, where Brown appeared awkward when asked about her then-upcoming wedding to Jake Bongiovi.
The interviewer joked about a Stranger Things-themed wedding with Harbour officiating, and Brown responded “yes” before giving a confused look, which many viewers interpreted as polite disagreement.
Harbour is also facing controversy outside of Stranger Things. His ex-wife, singer Lily Allen, released a new album called West End Girl, which explores the breakdown of their marriage.
Allen, 40, referenced his infidelity in the 14-track album. On the track “Dallas Major,” she sings, “You know I used to be quite famous that was way back in the day / I probably should explain how my marriage has been open since my husband went astray.”
Allen also hinted at Harbour being a s** addict in the shocking song titled P**** Palace.
