DC Comics has announced a new limited series called “Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature.” This five-issue series falls under the DC Black Label and takes cues from James Gunn’s popular “Peacemaker” show on Max.

It follows the wild adventures of Peacemaker, his eagle sidekick Eagly, and their friend Adrian Chase, who goes by Vigilante. The comics will launch on March 26 and be available in stores and online.

The series includes two main stories. In “Peaceful Vacation,” written by Rex Ogle with art by Matteo Lolli and John Kalisz, Peacemaker and Eagly head to Alaska for a break. Their trip turns chaotic when masked hijackers and a difficult flight attendant cause trouble. It’s up to Eagly and Peacemaker to stop them and save the day.

In a separate plot, Vigilante doesn’t get the memo about the trip. He assumes Peacemaker and Eagly are in danger from a villain called the Controller. This leads him to take on Evergreen’s criminals with his weapons in a bloody rampage.

Another story, “A Time for Fables,” comes from writer Tim Seeley and artist Mitch Gerads, who also created the main cover. The series features extra covers by artists like Darick Robertson, Matteo Lolli, and Dan Panosian. There’s even a shiny foil version of Gerads’ cover. James Gunn, known for the Peacemaker TV show, helps shape the story as a consultant, bringing his flair to the comics.

Fans can look forward to a mix of action and laughs, appealing to both new readers and longtime DC followers. The artwork promises to stand out, and the plots aim to keep readers hooked.

This series looks like a fun ride for fans of Peacemaker’s quirky style. Gunn’s involvement is a big plus—he knows how to balance humor and chaos, which should shine through here. The Alaskan hijack plot sounds fresh, and Vigilante’s wild misunderstanding adds a nice twist.
