The DC Super Hero Girls series was launched in 2015 to boost the popularity of DC’s female characters, both heroes and villains. It was launched as a successful webseries that ran for three years with a total of 112 episodes.

This was a great way to attract female audiences and to provide us with a different PoV in relation to a world that is mostly dominated by male characters. And that explains why the series was such a hit.

Of course, the webseries also received some adaptations, mostly in the form of comic books, and to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary this year, a special graphic novel is coming out next month!

RELATED:

The series’ publications include a series of novels as well as a series of graphic novels released under the DC Graphic Novels for Kids imprint, which brings popular comic book stories to younger audiences.

The first of these graphic novels, Final Crisis, was released in 2016, and the most recent one, Spaced Out, was released in 2019. In total, as of the time of writing, there are eight published graphic novels, but the situation will change on June 2, 2025.

DC Super Hero Girls: High School Reunion is coming out on June 2, 2025 and the publication is coming to us from original creators Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat; Fontana is the writer, while Labat is in charge of the art. The cover has been made available as well:

This will certainly be a very interesting anniversary addition, and if you want to know more about the story, here is the official synopsis:

The DC Super Hero Girls are back and ready for their high school reunion!

It’s the 10th anniversary of DC Super Hero Girls: Finals Crisis, and modern-day, grown-up Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley, Ivy, and Beast Boy have received invitations to the most exclusive party in town—their high school reunion. Distracted by all their grown-up responsibilities, the group hasn’t been able to get together for a while, and they are more excited than ever to see their friends again!

But this “reunion” isn’t what it seems…No one else is present when they arrive for the party! Who could have summoned everyone to Super Hero High? What is really going on?

To find the answers to their questions and the way out of this trap, the heroes will have to take a walk down memory lane. But will this deep dive into their past bring the heroes back to their B.F.F. ways or reopen old wounds?

Join original creators Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat for an unforgettable all-new adventure!

As stated, DC Super Hero Girls: High School Reunion is coming out on June 2, 2025.
