Demi Moore’s Shocking Confession: She Cheated the Night Before Her Wedding
Demi Moore’s new memoir, Inside Out, spills some personal details about her life, including a tough moment from her past where she cheated during her first marriage.
The book, as covered by People magazine, dives into her short-lived marriage to musician Freddy Moore when she was just 18. They tied the knot in 1980 but split by 1985. In the memoir, Moore gets real about how she messed up the night before her wedding.
“The night before we got married, instead of working on my vows, I was calling a guy I’d met on a movie set,” she writes. “I snuck out of my own bachelorette party and went to his apartment.”
She goes on to explain why she made that choice. “Why did I do that? Why didn’t I go and see the man I was committing to spend the rest of my life with to express my doubts? Because I couldn’t face the fact that I was getting married to distract myself from grieving the death of my father,” she admits. “Because I felt there was no room to question what I’d already put in motion. I couldn’t get out of the marriage, but I could sabotage it.”
After her marriage to Freddy ended, Moore moved on and married actor Bruce Willis in 1987. They had three daughters together, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Belle, before their divorce in 2000.
A few years later, in 2003, Moore started dating Ashton Kutcher, who was 15 years younger than her.
In an interview with The New York Times on September 12, she described their relationship as a fresh start. “It felt like a do-over, like I could just go back in time and experience what it was like to be young, with him, much more so than I’d ever been able to experience it when I was actually in my twenties,” she said.
