Details About the New Keanu Reeves Action Thriller Revealed

Keanu Reeves is teaming up with Deadpool director Tim Miller for an intense new action film titled Shiver.

Warner Bros. is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for the movie, which promises a mix of survival and sci-fi action with a time-twisting edge.

Shiver follows a smuggler who becomes trapped in a deadly situation while working in the Caribbean. After a job goes wrong, he’s caught between dangerous mercenaries, floating bodies, and hungry sharks. Things take an even stranger turn when he finds himself stuck in a time loop, forced to relive the same deadly day until he can find a way out.

The script was written by Ian Schorr and has been described as a high-concept thriller — something in the spirit of Edge of Tomorrow meets The Shallows. Reeves will both star in and help shape the project alongside Miller, marking their first collaboration as reported by THR.

Outside of Shiver, Reeves has a full slate of upcoming projects. He will appear in Outcome, a dark comedy directed by Jonah Hill for Apple TV+, and is also set to star in The Entertainment System Is Down, a satire from filmmaker Ruben Östlund. In addition, Reeves is producing a documentary about martial artist Benny Urquidez, scheduled for release in 2025.

Fans of his comic book series BRZRKR can look forward to a live-action film adaptation at Netflix, written by Mattson Tomlin and produced by Reeves himself.

He’s also expected to lend his voice to an anime spinoff of the same universe. Meanwhile, talk of a fifth John Wick movie continues, though director Chad Stahelski has said the franchise may take a break before returning. A spinoff TV series titled John Wick: Under the High Table is currently in development, with Reeves serving as executive producer.
