Disney+ to Stream First-Ever Live “Blue Carpet Day” Premiere for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’
Marvel’s First Family is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with The Fantastic Four: First Steps hitting theaters on July 25. But before fans get to see the movie, they have a cool chance to watch the film’s premiere live on Disney+.
For the very first time, Disney is streaming the premiere event, called “Blue Carpet Day.” This special livestream will happen on Monday, July 21 at 7 p.m. PT, from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. If you miss it live, don’t worry — a replay will be available to stream afterward.

Although the full movie won’t be shown during the event, Disney+ subscribers will get an exclusive sneak peek. Fans can watch interviews with the stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. Other cast members like Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, and more will also be there.
The premiere will also feature the director Matt Shakman, producer Kevin Feige, executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, Tim Lewis, and composer Michael Giacchino.
This livestream is a big deal because, as the source shared, it’s the first time Disney has ever let fans watch a premiere in real time. It’s similar to how an awards show works, rather than just seeing clips or interviews after the event is over.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps takes the MCU back to New York City, but in a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world. The story follows Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm or Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Ben Grimm or The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Johnny Storm, the Human Torch (Joseph Quinn). They face a huge threat — the world-eating villain Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson.
The story gets intense when a trailer recently revealed that Galactus demands the first-born child of Reed and Sue in exchange for sparing Earth. This makes the fight very personal for the team as they try to protect their home.
