Walt Disney World is giving fans a first real look at three new lands under construction across its parks.

The exhibit, held inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, showcases concept art and models for areas that will debut in the coming years, offering visitors a glimpse at the attractions, restaurants, and rides they can expect.

One of the lands, inspired by Monsters, Inc., is expected to be called Monstropolis and will be located at Hollywood Studios.

The exhibit shows a detailed layout of the area, including a theater replacing MuppetVision 3D and a suspended rollercoaster in the back of the land.

Disney’s description highlights that Monstropolis will include “shopping, dining and the first-ever suspended coaster in a Disney park,” where guests will be lifted into the air before racing through the iconic Door Vault. Concept art also features Mike and Sully holding onto a door as the coaster zooms past.

Animal Kingdom will get Tropical Americas, a land themed around Encanto and Indiana Jones. This area will replace the park’s Dinosaur ride and includes attractions like a ride-through Encanto experience and a new Indiana Jones adventure.

The exhibit displays a physical model of Tropical Americas, showing Casa Madrigal, the Indiana Jones temple, and other detailed features. Disney promises “a central fountain, quick-service restaurant, hand-carved carousel and two signature attractions” when the land opens.

The third land, Piston Peak National Park, is coming to Magic Kingdom and will transform part of Frontierland, replacing Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America. Inspired by the Cars universe, Piston Peak will feature new attractions, including a rally race and another family-friendly ride.

The concept art displays characters from the Cars films and a layout of the area. Disney says visitors will be able to “explore the natural wonders of the American ‘wheelderness’” in this new land.

For the first time, Disney has gathered these concept displays in a single exhibit at Hollywood Studios, allowing fans to see each land side by side. Guests can visit the Walt Disney Presents self-guided tour to explore the plans for Monstropolis, Tropical Americas, and Piston Peak before they officially open.

These new lands promise to bring fresh experiences to Disney World’s parks, mixing popular films with immersive rides and themed dining. It’s an exciting step for fans who have waited since TRON Lightcycle / Run for major new park additions.
