The stars of The Devil Wears Prada are reuniting for the long-awaited sequel, and fans got their first glimpse on Sunday, February 1. 20th Century Studios shared a short teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2, giving viewers a quick look at what happens 20 years after the original movie.

In the 30-second clip, Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton, delivers a sharp remark to Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway. “You’ve changed,” she says, “you’re much more confident. You kept those eyebrows, though, didn’t you?” The playful jab highlights the tension and humor fans loved in the first film. 20th Century Studios teased that the full trailer would drop later, writing on social media, “Trailer tonight. That’s all.”

The original film, based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel, followed Andy as she navigated her job as Miranda Priestly’s junior assistant. In the sequel, Variety reports that Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, faces new challenges as the magazine industry struggles. Meanwhile, Emily Charlton has become a high-powered executive in a luxury company, setting the stage for fresh conflict over business and advertising.

Alongside Hathaway, Streep, and Blunt, Stanley Tucci also returns. The cast expands to include Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, and Conrad Ricamora. The original director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are also back for the sequel.

In interviews, Blunt shared her excitement about returning. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about her dynamic with Streep, she said, “Why are Meryl and I so mean to each other in every movie we do? We always have beef with each other. I don’t know what it is. Let’s hope we remedy it. I’m not sure.”

On returning to the story after two decades, she added, “in a blink, it’s gone bye.” She also told PORTER magazine that making the film wasn’t just another project. “It has deep emotional roots for a lot of us,” she explained.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit theaters on May 1.

The teaser already shows the sharp humor and tension fans loved in the first film. The return of the original cast, along with new faces, promises a mix of nostalgia and fresh drama. What do you think about seeing this iconic cast back together after 20 years? Share your thoughts in the comments.
