‘Emily in Paris’ Season 6 Sets a Release Date
Emily Cooper has spent six years charming, frustrating, and delighting audiences in equal measure, turning a fish-out-of-water marketing gig in Paris into one of Netflix’s most reliably watched global hits. From office rivalries at Agence Grateau to an ever-shifting rotation of love interests, the series has built its identity on escapist European fantasy wrapped in high fashion and soapy romantic stakes.
That journey is now heading toward its conclusion. Netflix confirmed back in May that the upcoming sixth season would be the show’s last, and the streamer has spent the months since keeping details about the farewell run tightly under wraps while production moved across multiple countries.
That wait is finally over. Netflix has officially set ‘Emily in Paris‘ Season 6 for a Christmas Eve premiere on December 24, releasing all 10 episodes at once alongside a fresh batch of first-look photos previewing Emily’s final European adventure. The season sees production expand beyond its usual Paris setting into Greece and Monaco, with the new images capturing Emily striking a pose on a sun-drenched Greek beach in a striking red-and-white outfit, alongside quieter moments like catching up with Mindy on a Parisian bench.
Series creator and showrunner Darren Star explained the decision to widen the show’s geography for its send-off, saying he wanted the final season to feel like the biggest ‘Emily in Paris’ experience yet, and that the writers specifically wanted to showcase Greece in a spectacular way given how central the fantasy of easy European travel has always been to the show’s appeal.
That trip to Greece carries real narrative weight heading into the finale. Season 5 ended with Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, inviting Emily to join him in Greek waters after learning she was newly single, effectively reopening the door to their long-simmering will-they-won’t-they dynamic. According to the season’s official logline, Emily steps into “a new era of ambition and romance” as she faces choices testing her loyalties, ultimately having to decide between her career, her heart, and the life she’s built in Paris.
Mindy, played by Ashley Park, is heading into her own tangled storyline as well. Having accepted a proposal from Nico during a trip to Venice, she now finds herself caught between that engagement and her lingering feelings for Alfie, played by Lucien Laviscount, setting up one more love triangle before the series wraps.
The returning cast rounds out with Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Minnie Driver as Princess Jane, and Paul Forman as Nico, giving longtime viewers one last chance to see the full Agence Grateau ensemble together. Additional executive producers on the final season include Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss, Joe Murphy, Stephen Brown, Ryan McCormick, and Raphaël Benoliel.
Production on the season began in Greece back in May before continuing in France through at least mid-September, giving the show one of its most geographically ambitious shoots yet as it closes out its run.
For a series that’s spent six seasons turning European daydreaming into appointment viewing, wrapping things up with a holiday release feels fitting, giving fans one last binge-worthy trip through Emily’s stylish, chaotic world before the credits roll for good.
