Emma Stone, 37, Dazzles in a Curve-Hugging Silver Beaded Gown That Radiates Hollywood Glam at the 2026 Oscars
Emma Stone wowed on the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, wearing a floor-length silver beaded Louis Vuitton gown. The dress featured a daring low back and took an incredible 600 hours to create. She completed the look with a sleek bob, keeping her style elegant and modern.
Stone was accompanied by her husband Dave McCary, who looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo. The couple married in 2020 and welcomed their daughter Louise Jean the following year.
The actress was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Bugonia, and with this nod, she became the youngest actress ever to earn seven Oscar nominations at age 37. Stone was also nominated for Best Picture as one of the producers of Bugonia.

In the film, Stone plays pharmaceutical CEO Michelle Fuller, who is abducted by conspiracy theorists convinced she is an alien plotting to destroy Earth. As part of the story, the group shaves her head to prevent her from contacting her “mothership.”
Stone told USA Today in 2025 that she wanted to prepare her daughter for the scene. “I just said, ‘I’m going to shave my head. I’m going to take my hair off and it’s going to grow back. Isn’t that so silly and fun? We can do whatever we want with our hair! It can change all the time.’ She’s like, ‘OK,’ and then was totally cool,” she said.

The hair transformation was a carefully planned process. Director Yorgos Lanthimos had four cameras ready to capture the moment perfectly. Stone recalled her nervousness on set: “They kept saying, ‘We’ll be ready in 10 minutes. Nah, actually 30 minutes. No, actually an hour.’ I was sitting there, building the anticipation. So I had a little last-minute freak, and then Yorgos came over, we talked, and I was like, ‘I’m going to be fine. It’s going to be great. And I absolutely loved it.’”

During the shave, Stone described a focused, almost meditative mindset: “I was telling myself to stay still because if I opened my eyes or flinched, it would really mess things up.”
Stone’s red-carpet look and fearless dedication to her craft have left fans talking. Her combination of glamour, talent, and bold choices continues to make her one of Hollywood’s most admired stars.
Emma’s confidence and willingness to take risks, both in fashion and her roles, makes her stand out even more. Her silver gown was the perfect mix of elegance and daring, and the story behind her transformation in Bugonia is fascinating.
