Emma Stone Shows Off Sculpted Abs and Plunging Black Gown in Jaw-Dropping BAFTA Moment
Stars brought bold fashion to London for the 79th British Academy Film Awards. The ceremony took place at the Royal Festival Hall, where many actresses chose outfits with open backs and daring cuts. Among them were Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, and Kerry Washington.
Stone arrived in a sharp black gown that stood out against the many bright dresses on the carpet. The dress had a halter neckline and a cut-out detail at the front. The back was fully open. The design showed a stronger and more daring side of her red carpet style. She kept her jewelry simple and wore her hair up, letting the dress take focus.

The gown was custom made by Louis Vuitton. It was fitted through the top and fell straight to the floor. The clean shape and dark color gave her a powerful look. She completed the outfit with a short bob hairstyle and a diamond bracelet.
Stone is nominated for best actress for her role in Bugonia. During interviews on the red carpet, she spoke about working with director Yorgos Lanthimos again. I love working with Yorgos, she said. I love the material that he is drawn to and the worlds he wants to explore, and the characters that he has been generous enough to let me try my hand at.
She also spoke about how challenging her recent roles have been. A lot of these stories require a fair amount emotionally but also physically, she said. We become comfortable physically with each other and emotionally—not feeling embarrassed at being close, or whatever.
In the past year, Stone has taken on several bold projects. She appeared in the TV series The Curse and the film Kinds of Kindness. She also runs the production company Fruit Tree with her husband Dave McCary.
She also starred in Eddington, directed by Ari Aster. The film features actors such as Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Austin Butler.
Stone continues to balance big studio films with smaller, unusual projects. She takes risks in her fashion and in her acting choices. In my view, her latest red carpet look shows confidence and control. She seems comfortable trying new styles and new roles. What do you think about her black gown and her upcoming films?
