'Euphoria' Star Jacob Elordi Defends Kendall Jenner as Paparazzi Swarm the Pair in Paris

Fashion Month has turned into a steady stream of couple sightings for Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi. Just days earlier in Milan, Elordi sat front row at Bottega Veneta, where Jenner closed the collection. He snapped a few photos of her on a digital camera and cheered her on with a crowd whistle.

The pair then moved on to Paris, where Jenner walked in the L’Oréal Paris “Express Your Worth” show on September 28. The couple were first linked in March, when they reportedly sparked rumors at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and they have since been spotted together at Coachella, in Hawaii and in Japan. By the time they reached Paris, the cameras were already waiting.

That attention is what led Elordi to try to set some boundaries with the paparazzi who surrounded him and Jenner during Paris Fashion Week. The ‘Euphoria’ star wanted to get rid of the photographers as he walked the French capital with the model. A video that spread across social media shows how it played out.

In the footage, the couple walk hand in hand, accompanied by two bodyguards, while paparazzi crowd around them. A fan with a phone in hand also follows them. Elordi, who has had problems with photographers before, says, “Wait, wait, wait, can we just walk home?” while Jenner tries to hide her face from the cameras.

He then repeats, “Stop, stop, stop.” He tells the photographers they already have their pictures and asks whether the couple can just go back to the hotel, adding “No flash, just let us walk.” According to other coverage of the video, Elordi wore sunglasses while flashes went off around them.

The request did not do much. The photographers continued to follow the pair as they crossed the street, and Elordi wrapped an arm around Jenner’s waist while she kept her face covered. Jenner noticed the fan following them and said something to Elordi, who pulled her closer before they crossed, still completely surrounded.

The look of the evening was calm even if the moment wasn’t. Jenner wore a gray mini dress with black heels, while Elordi chose a white button-down and black trousers. Marie Claire praised the pair for a master class in ’90s-inspired date-night dressing earlier in the week.

This isn’t the first time Elordi has shown frustration with photographers in the French capital. In December, a video showed him having a heated exchange with a photographer at the Gare du Nord station, telling him that the attention makes life hard. That moment underscored his discomfort with the invasive side of fame while he promoted ‘Frankenstein’.

Online reaction to the latest clip has been split. Some fans praised the protective-boyfriend energy on display, while other social media users poked fun at his heated reaction. Either way, the video quickly went viral.

Elordi and Jenner don’t seem to be slowing down, with Deuxmoi reportedly claiming the couple are house hunting in Los Angeles. If the Paris encounter is any sign, a quieter home base may be exactly what they want.
