‘Euphoria’ Star Sydney Sweeney & Scooter Braun Make NYC Their Runway for Romance

Hollywood love stories rarely start with a destination-wedding sighting and end up as a tradition of low-key New York strolls, but this one keeps surprising people. What began as whispers has turned into one of the more closely watched pairings in entertainment. The Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun romance has now had its latest public moment.

The couple was first linked in June 2025, after being spotted walking around Venice before Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding. At the time, Sweeney had recently ended her engagement to producer Jonathan Davino after seven years together, and she told The Times of London she was single and loving it. Early reports from sources described the pair as casually dating.

Things only picked up from there. By late September 2025, they were holding hands on a night out in Los Angeles, and by October they were at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights with her parents. In November, they were photographed kissing on a rock in Central Park.

Now, on Monday, October 19, the pair stepped out again for a date night in New York City. Photos show the two walking hand-in-hand, with Sweeney in sunglasses, a black mini dress with cream sleeves and pointed black pumps. Braun matched in a cream sweater, tan trousers, loafers and a red baseball cap.

Their relationship has gradually shifted from rumor to something close to official. In October 2025, a source told Us Weekly the pair were dating and that it had become more serious. By spring, Braun was talking about the romance on a podcast, praising an extraordinary woman who is kind, generous and down to earth, and calling the relationship one of the biggest surprises ever.

It wasn’t just talk. Braun shared an Instagram video of an incognito NYC date night in late May, featuring Citi Bikes, burgers and a first-ever Times Square visit for Sweeney. She wore a blue hoodie and sunglasses, danced along to “Empire State of Mind” and posed in front of her own American Eagle billboard.

New York has become a recurring backdrop for the couple. They were seen walking hand-in-hand in the city last November, and Sweeney taped an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ that same week. Between those trips, they’ve been spotted at karaoke and at a Matt Rife comedy show, where they reportedly held hands under the table.

The outings suggest a couple that is comfortable being seen together without making a spectacle of it. Their dates read more like a pair of New Yorkers on a night out than a staged photo op.

Both stars are juggling heavy schedules. Sweeney has been linked to projects including ‘Euphoria’ season 3, ‘Christy’ and ‘The Housemaid’, while Braun retired from artist management last year after working with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and The Kid LAROI.

Sources have also suggested that Braun has played a supportive role in her career. Page Six reported that Sweeney enjoys seeking his business advice, though a source said wedding bells weren’t in the cards. A source told Us Weekly that his support is one of the reasons she’s so drawn to him.

Not every reaction has been warm. Some fans have celebrated the pairing of two industry powerhouses, while others have been surprised by the age difference and Braun’s controversial history in the music business. Braun was also previously married to health activist Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three kids.

Rumors have flown too. The National Enquirer claimed the relationship began as a business connection, though that report relied on an unnamed insider, and neither star has addressed it. Meanwhile, sources have said Sweeney has fully moved on from Davino and is happy with Braun.

For now, the couple seems content to let their public appearances do the talking. Whether the next outing comes with another viral video or a quieter stroll, the New York streets seem to have become their favorite stage.
