The Japanese coming of age comedy returns to theaters with a new restoration. It follows four high school girls who form a band in the days before a school festival and race to learn the Blue Hearts song that gives the film its title.

Directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita and starring Bae Doona, Aki Maeda, and Yu Kashii, the re-release arrives Friday September 5 in select theaters.

Jay Duplass directs and co writes this comedy about two friends whose attempt to rehabilitate a troubled teen through a volunteer program spirals into a holiday season they did not expect. The setup puts them in over their heads as good intentions collide with messy real life choices.

The film runs 1 hour 39 minutes and is rated R for language. IFC Films opens it in limited release on Friday September 5.

James Sweeney writes and directs with Dylan O’Brien and Sweeney co-starring alongside Aisling Franciosi. Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate release the 1 hour 40 minute film in limited theaters on Friday September 5.

John Hughes’ classic returns to cinemas for one day only. Five students from different cliques share a Saturday detention and discover more common ground than they expected over the course of a single day at school.

The re-release screens on Sunday September 7 with the original ensemble of Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall, and Ally Sheedy back on the big screen.

Set in a society where the state raises children apart from parents, a by the book government enforcer is ordered to move a group of orphans across the border and discovers a truth that challenges everything she believes. The journey forces her to choose between her duty and the children in her care.

The feature comes from writer director Miles Joris-Peyrafitte and is slated to open in theaters on Friday September 12.

The iconic British rock band returns to the stage for a new tour after a long absence. The mockumentary catches up with the group as they reunite for one more go, with original filmmaker Rob Reiner once again behind the camera as the documentarian.

Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprise their roles with production set up as a direct follow up to the original film. The sequel is dated for Friday September 12 in theaters.

A veteran paramedic and his partner tackle emergency calls across Los Angeles as they struggle with the toll the job takes on their personal lives. The story follows a trying twenty four hours on the ambulance that tests their resolve and their partnership.

Christopher Leone directs with Rainn Wilson, Lil Rel Howery, and Aimee Carrero. The film is scheduled for a Friday September 12 theatrical release.

Pixar’s feature debut returns to theaters for a special engagement. The animated comedy follows the rivalry and friendship between cowboy doll Woody and new space ranger figure Buzz Lightyear as they try to get back to their owner after a mishap.

The re-release arrives on Friday September 12, bringing the original voice cast of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen back to multiplexes for the anniversary run.

Allan Ungar directs with Josh Duhamel, Aidan Gillen, and Jeremy Ray Taylor starring. Quiver Distribution releases the R rated action comedy in limited theaters on Friday September 19.

The feature is directed by Ryan Crego with Laila Lockhart Kraner reprising her role as Gabby and Kristen Wiig voicing Vera. Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation release it wide on Friday September 26.

The comedy crime film is written by Adam Rifkin and directed by Constantine Paraskevopoulos with Jennifer Morrison, Terrence Howard, and Taye Diggs among the cast. Seismic Releasing opens it in limited theaters on Friday September 26.

Mamoru Hosoda’s anime classic returns to theaters. A teenager discovers she can leap through time and uses her new ability to fix everyday problems until she learns there are consequences she cannot avoid. The reissue brings the film back to cinemas for a late month engagement.

The re-release is dated for Sunday September 28 with screenings planned in select markets.

New episodes arrive Wednesday September 3 on Comedy Central. The animated series follows two clueless metalheads who stumble into trouble at school, at home, and everywhere in between as they comment on music videos and pop culture.

The show was created by Mike Judge, who also voices both leads, and is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios with episodes developed with Titmouse in recent seasons.

The series returns Tuesday September 9 on Hulu. Three neighbors in a New York apartment building team up to investigate a death in their building and record a true crime podcast about their findings.

The show is created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman and stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez with production by 20th Television.

New episodes are set for Wednesday September 10 on Prime Video. The adult animated series follows the employees of I.M.P., a startup assassination company that operates out of Hell and takes chaotic assignments across the underworld.

The series is created by Vivienne Medrano with voice roles that include Brandon Rogers, Richard Horvitz, and Erica Lindbeck.

The sequel series schedules new episodes for Friday September 12 on Disney Plus. It reconnects with the Russo family years after the events of the original show as a new generation learns how to handle magic and everyday life.

Developed for Disney Plus by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, the series features returning stars David Henrie and guest appearances by Selena Gomez alongside a new young cast.

The series debuts Tuesday September 30 on Hulu. It follows a former college quarterback who goes undercover with a fake identity to earn a walk on spot and try to restart his football dreams.

The project is developed with Omaha Productions and created by Michael Waldron with Glen Powell in the lead.
