‘The Threesome’ (2025)

Chad Hartigan directs from Ethan Ogilby’s screenplay in a romantic comedy drama about Connor and his longtime crush Olivia whose spontaneous night with a stranger named Jenny leads to unexpected consequences. The film stars Zoey Deutch as Olivia, Jonah Hauer-King as Connor, and Ruby Cruz as Jenny, with Jaboukie Young-White and Josh Segarra in supporting roles. ‘Gyanvapi Files: A Tailor’s Murder Story’ (2025)

This Hindi-language crime drama dramatizes the June 2022 murder of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal, following the events and investigations that unfolded around the case. Directed by Bharat S. Shrinate and Jayant Sinha and distributed by Reliance Entertainment, it begins a limited U.S. theatrical run on September 5, 2025.

‘The Legend of Hei 2’ (2025)

MTJJ and Gu Jie return to the world of Luo Xiaohei in this 2D animated fantasy adventure that continues the journey of the cat spirit Xiaohei and master Wuxian. GKIDS is releasing the film in North American theaters on September 5, 2025, following a successful summer run in China.

‘Twinless’ (2025)

James Sweeney writes, directs, and co-stars in this dark comedy drama about Roman, a man grieving the death of his twin brother, who finds connection at a twin-bereavement support group. Dylan O’Brien plays both twins, with Lauren Graham, Aisling Franciosi, Chris Perfetti, and Tasha Smith in the ensemble. Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate open the film on September 5, 2025.

‘Linda Linda Linda’ (2005)

Nobuhiro Yamashita’s beloved high school band film returns in a new 4K restoration from GKIDS, starring Bae Doona, Aki Maeda, Yû Kashii, and Shiori Sekine. The re-release begins in September 2025 with select theaters playing it during the week of September 5.
Set over three days, the story follows four girls who form a band to perform the Blue Hearts song “Linda Linda” at a school festival. The restoration celebrates the film’s twentieth anniversary with a big-screen presentation for longtime fans and new audiences.
‘Looking Through Water’ (2025)

Roberto Sneider directs this family drama adapted from Bob Rich’s novel, with a screenplay by Zach Dean and Rowdy Herrington. The cast includes Michael Douglas, Cameron Douglas, David Morse, Michael Stahl-David, Walker Scobell, and Tamara Tunie. The film is set to open on September 12, 2025 in U.S. theaters.
