Ethan Coen directs and co-writes this neo noir dark comedy with Tricia Cooke that follows private investigator Honey O’Donahue as she digs into a string of suspicious deaths connected to a church in a small American town. The film stars Margaret Qualley as Honey alongside Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans and features music by Carter Burwell with cinematography by Ari Wegner. It premiered at Cannes in May and is the second entry in Coen and Cooke’s queer B-movie trilogy after ‘Drive-Away Dolls’.

The film opens in theaters on Friday August 22 and but arrived on Apple TV+ on August 21. Focus Features is releasing it in the United States with Universal handling international distribution.

Created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, this global sci-fi drama tracks ordinary people whose lives intersect as a hostile alien species advances across Earth. The ensemble includes Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha Malik, Shamier Anderson as Trevante Cole, Shioli Kutsuna as Mitsuki Yamato, and Billy Barratt as Caspar Morrow with earlier episodes scored by Max Richter and executive production by Kinberg and Weil.

Season 3 begins on Apple TV+ on Friday August 22 with one episode and new episodes weekly on Fridays. The new season continues the story with evolved predators raising the stakes while core characters converge for the first time.

This four part primetime special features Kelly Clarkson in intimate conversations and unplugged performances with a different artist each week. Guests include Jonas Brothers, Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims, and Lizzo with each hour filmed in a relaxed setting that blends talk and live music and expands on the popular segment from ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’.

The series debuts on NBC on Tuesday August 19 with next day streaming on Peacock beginning Wednesday August 20. Episodes run weekly across four weeks with one artist spotlight per installment.

Inspired by a concept from Clive Barker, this animated supernatural comedy horror follows a mountain lion named Dan and a young wolf named Gracie who band together when a meteor borne virus turns zoo animals into slobbering mutants. The film is directed by Rodrigo Perez-Castro and Ricardo Curtis and written by James Kee with Steven Hoban and features voice roles from David Harbour as Dan, Gabbi Kosmidis as Gracie, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Felix, and Scott Thompson as Ash.

After its theatrical run earlier this year, the movie arrives on Peacock on Friday August 22. It brings a creature feature vibe to family animation while keeping the action and humor front and center.

This science fiction horror film centers on an artificially intelligent doll that forms a dangerous attachment to a young girl after being built by a toy company roboticist. Gerard Johnstone directs from a screenplay by Akela Cooper based on a story by Cooper and James Wan with Allison Williams and Violet McGraw starring and Amie Donald performing the title character on set with Jenna Davis providing the voice. The film was produced by Atomic Monster and Blumhouse and became a breakout box office hit.

The theatrical cut and the unrated version land on Peacock on Sunday August 24. If you want the grisly details of the viral dance loving doll and its mayhem, both editions will be available to stream.

This British reality series follows the lives of young mothers in the United Kingdom as they juggle relationships, work, and parenting. Across its runs the cast has included Amber Butler, Chloe Patton, Mia Boardman, Megan Salmon Ferrari, Naomi Konickova, and others with the format adapted from the wider ‘Teen Mom’ franchise.

New streaming availability for episodes arrives on Paramount+ on Wednesday August 20. It is a good entry point if you want to catch up on prior seasons and meet the evolving cast.

Set in Carnivore Cove, this animated preschool musical series follows Baby Shark and best friend William on tuneful adventures with their undersea friends. The show is produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio with The Pinkfong Company and was created by Gary Doodles and Tommy Sica with voice talent that includes Kimiko Glenn as Baby Shark and Luke Youngblood as William in the English language version.

Fresh episodes and catalog streaming land on Paramount+ on Wednesday August 20. Families can dive into sing along stories that mix simple lessons with bubbly comedy.
