A classic PlayStation 2 game from 2007 may be making its way to PS5 and PS4, according to a recent leak. Tomb Raider: Anniversary, a remake of the original Tomb Raider from the PS1 era, appears to be the next title set for a modern re-release.

The leak comes via True Trophies, where a new trophy listing for the game was spotted, hinting that it could arrive on current PlayStation consoles soon.

Sony has been steadily bringing back fan-favorite PS2 games for modern systems in recent years.

Franchises like Sly Cooper, TimeSplitters, and Ape Escape have already seen re-releases on PS5 and PS4. Tomb Raider: Anniversary, which originally launched on PS2, was well-received and later made its way to multiple platforms, including PSP and PS3.

While Sony and Eidos have not officially confirmed the re-release yet, the trophy listing strongly suggests it’s coming.

Fans can likely expect Tomb Raider: Anniversary to be added to the PlayStation Plus “Classics” lineup, similar to what happened with Tomb Raider: Legend when it was updated for PS5 and PS4 in 2024. Based on timing and past patterns, the game could join PS Plus as part of October 2025’s new offerings.

This re-release is exciting news for fans who grew up with Tomb Raider or newcomers looking to experience the series’ classic adventures on modern hardware. It’s great to see classic games getting a second life, and the Anniversary edition’s return could introduce a whole new generation to Lara Croft’s iconic adventures.
