Fan-Favorite Supe From ‘The Boys’ Returns in Explosive ‘Gen V’ Season 2
Erin Moriarty is bringing Starlight to Gen V Season 2, and fans couldn’t be more excited. While we’re getting ready to say goodbye to her in the fifth and final season of The Boys, she’s not done just yet.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Prime Video dropped the newest trailer for Gen V, and it confirmed that Starlight will show up to help out Marie (played by Jaz Sinclair) and the rest of the gang as they take on the shady powers running Godolkin University.
Even though we’ve already seen other familiar faces like Chace Crawford’s The Deep and Antony Starr’s Homelander in the first season of Gen V, this will actually be Starlight’s first appearance in the spinoff. According to the trailer, she’s playing a key role, stepping in when the students need her most.
Fans at Comic-Con also learned a few more details about what’s coming. Chace Crawford will be back again as The Deep, and there was a quick shot of Black Noir (played by Nathan Mitchell) facing off with Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas).
How that scene plays out is still under wraps. Firecracker (Valorie Curry), who was teased earlier in a promo, is also crossing over into the Gen V storyline. But with everything we’ve seen so far, it feels like these returning characters are just the beginning.
The Boys creator Eric Kripke and the team are keeping the final season of the main show under tight wraps. They just finished filming, and cast members, including Moriarty, have already started posting their emotional farewells online. There’s no release date yet for The Boys Season 5, so fans will have to hang tight.
In the meantime, Starlight’s appearance in Gen V is something fans should definitely savor. The new season premieres on Prime Video starting September 17, with the first three episodes dropping on day one. The rest will roll out weekly through October.
