Star Trek fans finally have a new reason to celebrate. Lego has released a huge new set of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The set is part of the Lego Icons series and comes with 3,600 pieces. When built, the ship stands 10.5 inches tall, stretches 23.5 inches long, and is 18.5 inches wide.

This is the first time Lego has officially teamed up with Paramount, the owner of Star Trek, to create a series of official Star Trek kits.

Before this, other companies like Mega Blocks made Star Trek building sets, but they never had the detail or quality that fans expect from Lego. The new Enterprise set is designed to closely match the ship from the TV series. It includes a detachable command saucer, detailed nacelles, a secondary hull, and a shuttle bay that opens to reveal two mini shuttlepods.

The set also comes with mini figures of the main crew. Of course, this includes Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Lieutenant Commander Data, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Counsellor Deanna Troi, Bartender Guinan, and Wesley Crusher. Each figure has its own accessories, including phasers, tricorders, and an engineering case.

Designed for adults 18 and older, the set also includes a display stand. It will be available starting November 28 and will cost $399.99 in the U.S., £349.99 in the U.K., and €379.99 in Europe. Lego is planning a Black Friday video to celebrate the launch.

The video will feature Number One and director Jonathan Frakes, who signed one of the sets. One lucky fan will have a chance to win that signed set.

Lego is also offering a free bonus set for early buyers. Anyone who orders the Enterprise between November 28 and December 1 will get a Lego Icons Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod. This set has 261 pieces, doors that open, a rear hatch, and a mini figure of Ensign Ro Laren, a character from TNG who also appeared in Picard.
