The Fantastic Four are back and made a big splash at their world premiere in Los Angeles. The event took place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, where fans and stars came together to celebrate Marvel’s newest film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

This movie will bring back Marvel’s famous superhero team, with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach taking the lead roles.

It wasn’t just the main cast who showed up for the event. Other actors from the film like Sarah Niles, Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser and Ralph Ineson walked the blue carpet too. Simu Liu from Shang-Chi, Arian Moayed from Succession and Niousha Noor from The Persian Version also made appearances.

Past Fantastic Four actors Doug Jones, Ioan Gruffudd and Rebecca Staab came along to see how the new version of the story would unfold. The film’s robot character H.E.R.B.I.E. was also present at the event, adding some fun to the blue carpet. Other stars included Deadpool & Wolverine’s Dafne Keen Fernández and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

At the premiere, fans could see the Fantasticar on display, and many people dressed up as the Fantastic Four to celebrate the moment. In the sky above, the team’s famous “4” logo was drawn by skywriters, which added even more excitement to the event.

The movie will be in theaters starting July 25. Directed by Matt Shakman, known for his Emmy-nominated work, this film will be the fourth time Marvel tries to tell the Fantastic Four story on the big screen. This new movie is different, though. The story will be set in a ‘60s-inspired alternate universe, giving the film a retrofuturistic style.

Early reviews from critics have been very positive. Some are calling it “quite possibly the best Marvel Studios film ever released” with “immaculate” visual effects and a “pitch-perfect script.”

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige spoke to the press during the event and explained why the company decided to bring back the Fantastic Four. He said that after Disney bought Fox in 2019, Marvel was finally able to use the characters in their films.

Feige said, “Why Fantastic Four? Because it’s Marvel’s First Family. It’s in the history of our characters; they deserve to be A-listers. They were A-listers in the comics.” He also pointed out that the Fantastic Four had always played a big role in Marvel’s comic stories but couldn’t appear in the earlier MCU films because Fox owned the rights.

Feige also explained that the movie is meant to be simple and easy to follow. He said, “The film is a no-homework-required movie kicking off Phase Six of the MCU.”

With the premiere now complete and early reviews looking strong, fans everywhere are waiting to see Marvel’s First Family finally return to theaters in style.
