Finn Wolfhard Opens Up About His Wildest Fan Moment: “I Think About That All the Time”

Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard recently shared one of his strangest fan encounters in an interview with Collider, and it’s definitely a story that sticks with him.

Alongside co-stars Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, and Caleb McLaughlin, Finn was talking about the wildest fan interactions they’ve experienced while promoting the show.

The cast admitted they’ve had their fair share of unusual moments with fans, but Finn’s story stood out. He recalled a signing at a record store where a young fan and her family approached him. The fan, who was about the same age as Finn at the time, asked for his half-drunk bottle of water.

“No. No, you can’t. No, you can’t have my water. I’m still drinking it,” Finn explained. The request quickly escalated into a mini-argument, with the family upset that he wouldn’t give it away. “That was weird. That was a very weird interaction. I think about that all the time,” he added.

Gaten Matarazzo chimed in jokingly about Finn’s response: “You’re still drinking it is the best excuse.” Finn laughed and agreed, saying, “Not that it’s disturbing. ‘Your question is disturbing, but I’m actually still drinking it.’”

The cast shared that fan encounters like these can be surprising, funny, or even a little awkward, but they all agree it’s part of being on a show as popular as Stranger Things.
