Marvel Studios has quite a few projects scheduled to be released in 2024. Despite releasing only a single live-action movie, in terms of animated content we can look forward to a lot of things. One of the first projects to be released however is ‘X-Men ’97,’ a show scheduled to be released on March 20, 2024.

This marks Marvel Studios’ first foray into X-Men since reclaiming the rights from 20th Century Fox, which DeMayo acknowledges adds pressure due to the franchise’s devoted fanbase. Fast-tracking the revival is attributed to the original series’ success on Disney+ and the popularity of the art book ‘X-Men: The Art and Making of The Animated Series.’ While not part of the MCU, ‘X-Men ’97’ continues the original series’ storylines, with potential clarification regarding its relationship to the MCU.

Now first clip of the show has been revealed courtesy of Rotten Tomatoes and the show looks phenomenal:

The show reportedly takes place a single day after the original series but it’s going to be far rougher with vulnerable characters and mature dialogues. The clip comes a day after the creator of the show, Beau DeMayo has been fired due to unexplained reasons so far. The second season has already been confirmed ahead of the first season’s release.
