First Look at Oscar Martinez Returning in ‘The Office’ Spinoff ‘The Paper’ Has Been Released
A first look at Oscar Martinez is here as he returns in the upcoming The Office spinoff, The Paper. Peacock shared the poster featuring Oscar Nunez reprising his role from the original series.

The Paper is a new American mockumentary sitcom created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, the minds behind The Office. The show follows a new office in the same fictional world. According to Peacock, it will premiere on September 4, 2025.
The story is set in Toledo, Ohio, where a documentary crew follows the Toledo Truth-Teller, an old newspaper struggling to stay alive. The paper tries to make a comeback with the help of volunteer reporters.

Domhnall Gleeson stars as Ned Sampson, the new editor-in-chief, while Sabrina Impacciatore plays Esmeralda Grand.
The main cast also includes Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and of course, Oscar Nunez as Oscar Martinez. Recurring cast members include Duane Shepard Sr., Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Mo Welch, Eric Rahill, Nancy Lenehan, Molly Ephraim, and Tracy Letts.
The series was first announced in January 2024, and Daniels revealed he was developing a follow-up to The Office with a new set of characters but in the same universe. Michael Koman joined as co-creator in March 2024.
By May, Peacock officially ordered the series, which they described as a comedy mockumentary following a historic Midwestern newspaper and its team of reporters. The series title, The Paper, was revealed in June 2024, with production starting the following month.
The show is executive produced by Greg Daniels, Michael Koman, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, and Ben Silverman, with Universal Television producing.
