A major surprise from Masters of the Universe has already been revealed, with the character She-Ra appearing in the film’s post-credits scene. According to social media posts shared by Lauren Saliu, she is the performer who brings She-Ra to life in the new film directed by Travis Knight. In her post, she confirmed her role and also gave fans a closer look at the costume used in the scene, which is only briefly shown in the final cut and mostly from behind. She also shared behind-the-scenes photos from her time on set.
In her own words, she wrote, “I’m excited to finally share that I appear as She-Ra in the post credit scene in @mastersmovie 🔥” She added, “So grateful and had so much fun embodying She-Ra the Princess of Power ❤️🔥🦄🗡️” and described the process of bringing the character to life, saying, “It was back and forth fittings and 3D scans getting the outfit made to my exact measurements 🥹 the craftsmanship and detail is incredible 👏🏼”
The appearance of She-Ra in the film has been a topic of speculation for some time. Before release, director Travis Knight avoided confirming too many details about the character’s involvement. In interviews, he explained that She-Ra has always been an important part of the wider Masters universe, but the focus of this film was kept on Prince Adam’s story.
He said in an earlier interview, “I can say very little about She-Ra. For me, She-Ra has always been a big part of the Masters world and a big part of Adam’s story. In the fullness of time, if we’re lucky to tell more stories in this universe, She-Ra will play a huge part.”
Knight also hinted that the character may have originally had a larger role in earlier versions of the film. He mentioned that some scenes were removed during editing, suggesting that more material involving She-Ra could exist but was ultimately cut from the final version.
The introduction of She-Ra in a post-credits scene has sparked discussion about possible sequels and the future of the franchise.
