First Look at ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2’ Has Been Released — The Heroes in a Half Shell Are Back!
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are heading back to the big screen this year with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey, a brand-new animated short from Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon.
Variety has just released new images from the movie, giving fans a first look at what’s next for the heroes in a half shell.

The short takes place after the events of the 2023 hit film Mutant Mayhem and finds the Turtles dealing with the downside of fame.
When a shady toy company starts taking advantage of their popularity, the brothers set off for New Jersey to uncover the truth. What starts as a simple investigation turns into a wild adventure filled with surprises and a shocking discovery.
Chrome Alone 2: Lost in New Jersey is directed by Kent Seki, who worked as head of cinematography on Mutant Mayhem.
The screenplay was written by Andrew Joustra, who also helped shape the story of the 2023 film. The short is produced by Mutant Mayhem director Jeff Rowe, along with Ramsay McBean and Point Grey Pictures’ team, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.
The film first premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 10, where it was part of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon’s showcase. Audiences at the festival praised the short for its humor and sharp animation style.
Fans who missed it will get their chance soon, it’s set to hit theaters on December 19, playing before The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.
With the creative team from Mutant Mayhem back together and fresh visuals teased by Variety, Chrome Alone 2: Lost in New Jersey looks like another fun ride for both longtime TMNT fans and newcomers alike.
