Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is finally coming to theaters on December 5. For the first time, audiences will be able to watch Quentin Tarantino’s martial-arts revenge saga as one complete four-hour film. This release combines both Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, along with new additions and edits that Tarantino says fulfill his original vision.

Lionsgate has released a teaser for the movie and confirmed that the full trailer is set to drop soon. “Here comes the bride… KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR – Trailer tomorrow,” the studio announced.

When Kill Bill Vol. 1 premiered in October 2003, it was full of Tarantino’s signature style—fast-paced action, martial arts homage, and striking visuals. Six months later, Vol. 2 took a slower, more character-driven approach.

While audiences enjoyed the two films separately, Tarantino has always said they were meant to be one story. The split was due to runtime and studio choices, not creative intent.

With the new release, both parts will be presented as a single cohesive experience. Vol. 1 retains its high-energy fight scenes and blood-soaked choreography, while Vol. 2 highlights Tarantino’s dialogue, character work, and love of Western influences. Together, they give viewers the full spectrum of Tarantino’s vision for Beatrix Kiddo’s journey.

Fans will also see previously unseen content, including a 7½-minute animated sequence exploring the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Cartoon Brew reports that this segment expands the backstory of the crew that Uma Thurman’s character once belonged to.

The film will include a 10-minute intermission to allow audiences a break during the long runtime. Tarantino has used intermissions before, most notably in The Hateful Eight, to enhance the cinematic experience. Select theaters will also screen the film in 35mm and 70mm, giving fans a chance to see it in a format that emphasizes its visuals and sound.

Overall, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair promises a new way to experience one of Tarantino’s most iconic stories, combining action, style, and a touch of emotional depth.
