First Trailer for ‘SISU 2’ Shows Jorma Tommila Back on the Path of Revenge
The trailer for Sisu: Road to Revenge has been released, giving fans the first look at Jorma Tommila’s return as Aatami Korpi, also known as “the man who refuses to die.” Directed and written by Jalmari Helander, the film is the follow-up to the 2022 action hit Sisu.
This time, the story follows Korpi as he goes back to the home where his family was killed during the war. He tears the house down, loads it onto a truck, and plans to rebuild it somewhere safe in their memory.
But the past won’t stay buried, as the Red Army commander who murdered his family, played by Stephen Lang, returns to hunt him down. Richard Brake also joins the cast.

The movie was filmed in Estonia, unlike the first film, which took place in Lapland. According to the Finnish News Agency, Helander had already spoken in 2023 about wanting to make a sequel if the first film performed well in the United States.
That same year he hinted, “I have an idea of what would happen next… Maybe somebody needs [Aatami Korpi’s] skills again but let’s see.”
Jorma Tommila also confirmed his interest in returning, and by the end of 2023, Helander officially agreed to direct the sequel. The Finnish Film Foundation first gave the project €50,000, later increasing the support to €1 million.
Reports state the total budget of the film is over €11 million, produced by Petri Jokiranta for Subzero Film Entertainment and Mike Goodridge for Good Chaos, with Sony’s Stage 6 Films also involved.
Filming wrapped in late 2024. In April 2025, it was revealed by Variety that Screen Gems had taken over U.S. distribution from Lionsgate, while Stage 6 Films kept the international rights outside Finland.
Sisu: Road to Revenge will premiere at Fantastic Fest in September 2025 before opening in Finland on October 22. The U.S. release is set for November 21 through Sony Pictures Releasing.
With the new trailer out, fans can expect another brutal ride of revenge and survival from Helander’s world.
