First Trailer for ‘The Family Plan 2’ Starring Mark Wahlberg and Kit Harington Released
AppleTV+ has released the first trailer for The Family Plan 2, the sequel to the 2023 action-comedy hit. The film brings back Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti, and Van Crosby, while introducing Kit Harington in a new role.
Directed by Simon Cellan Jones and written by David Coggeshall, the movie follows Dan Morgan, played by Wahlberg, who plans a perfect Christmas trip to Europe for his family. But as the trailer shows, Dan’s past as a former covert assassin catches up with him, putting the family in unexpected danger.

Michelle Monaghan returns as Jessica Morgan, Dan’s wife and former decathlete. Their children are played by Zoe Colletti as Nina, the eldest, and Van Crosby as Kyle, who has gained attention online as a skilled gamer called “Kylleboi.” Kit Harington plays Aidan, while Sidse Babett Knudsen and Sanjeev Bhaskar appear as Svetlana and Vikram. Reda Elazouar and Daniel de Bourg are also part of the cast.
The sequel was first announced in October 2024. By December, Kit Harington and Reda Elazouar had joined the cast, with filming beginning in January and wrapping in March. The production was handled by Apple Studios, Skydance Media, and Wahlberg’s Municipal Pictures.
The newly released trailer gives fans a first look at the mix of comedy, action, and family moments, highlighting both the humor and high-stakes excitement audiences can expect. The Family Plan 2 is scheduled to premiere on AppleTV+ on November 21.
