Former Teen Star Stuns Fans with Dramatic Change After “Failed” Plastic Procedure
Amanda Bynes has surprised fans with a new look following recent cosmetic work. In August, the former Nickelodeon star shared a clip on Instagram Stories showing slightly swollen lips after getting lip injections.
She confirmed the procedure in the caption, saying, “Lip injections by @body.byem.”

Bynes has been open about undergoing cosmetic procedures since ending her conservatorship in 2022. Her changes have sparked conversations about her personal life and career, keeping her in the public eye.
TMZ reports that Bynes is currently dating a man named Zachary, who works in event management and security. Sources say the couple recently started seeing each other and are enjoying their time together.
After taking an indefinite break from acting in 2010, Bynes considered a return in 2018, but nothing materialized.
She was scheduled to appear at ’90s Con in March 2023, her first public appearance since her conservatorship ended, but had to skip it due to illness. In December 2023, she briefly co-hosted a podcast, Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast, but left after one episode to focus on becoming a licensed manicurist and maintaining a consistent job.
In April of this year, Bynes joined OnlyFans to connect with fans, emphasizing she would not post “any sleazy content.”
Bynes’ life has been marked by both legal and mental health challenges. She faced a DUI charge in 2012, which was resolved with probation. In 2013, she faced charges for reckless endangerment and marijuana possession after an incident in her Manhattan apartment but was cleared the following year.
That same year, she was hospitalized under a mental-health evaluation hold following an incident in California, which led her parents to seek conservatorship. During her conservatorship, she publicly discussed struggles with mental health and substance use, including bipolar disorder and past experimentation with cocaine, MDMA, and Adderall.
After years under conservatorship, Bynes officially ended it in March 2022. Since then, she has continued to focus on her recovery, although she experienced further mental health episodes in 2023, including brief psychiatric holds after public incidents in Los Angeles. She has since received treatment and is continuing outpatient care.
Amanda Bynes’ journey highlights both the challenges and resilience of growing up in the public eye. It’s clear she is trying to rebuild her life while exploring new personal and professional paths. What do you think about her recent changes and choices? Share your thoughts in the comments.
