Frankie Muniz gave fans a sneak peek of the Malcolm in the Middle revival with a warm reunion photo this week.

The picture, shared on Thursday, shows Muniz with his on-screen older brothers, Justin Berfield and Christopher Masterson, taken on the last day of filming in Vancouver. The recast Dewey does not appear in the photo.

Muniz captioned the post, “I was told not to post this yet, but then I remembered the theme song. I’m just too excited for y’all to see the new episodes and I miss my brothers.”

After years of speculation about a revival, Disney+ officially ordered a new series from creator Linwood Boomer last December. Production wrapped in May, but a premiere date has not yet been announced.

The revival will consist of four episodes, and Muniz has teased that fans will be surprised by how the characters’ lives have changed. “It’s hard to fit in 20 years of stuff in four 30-minute episodes,” he said, “but fans are going to be very happy with what they came up with.”

The revival promises to bring back the humor and heart of the original show while giving fans a chance to see how Malcolm and his brothers have grown over the years.
