Fresh Scoop: New Character Details Revealed for ‘My Adventures With Green Lantern’!

There’s an exciting new animated show coming called My Adventures With Green Lantern. It’s a spin-off from the series My Adventures With Superman and follows a new story all its own.

The main character is Jessica Cruz, a regular high school girl whose world changes overnight when a Green Lantern Power Ring falls from the sky and chooses her to be a hero. But things get even more complicated when pieces from an old space battle involving the Green Lanterns start showing up on Earth, bringing alien enemies with them.

The show was first announced back in February 2025 as part of a lineup of new DC projects.

Recently, Nexus Point News shared some new info about who will appear in the series. Two characters, Kyle and Nikki, have been confirmed, and it turns out they are Kyle Rayner and Nikki Jones. While we don’t know much about Kyle’s role yet, he will be Jessica’s love interest. The story takes place in Coast City, where Jessica and her friends attend Hal Jordan High School. It’s not clear if the character Hal Jordan himself will appear in this version.

The series will have a style influenced by Sailor Moon, just like My Adventures With Superman. Jessica will even wear a costume inspired by that look. The Green Lanterns in this show are described more like peaceful warrior monks rather than traditional law enforcers. This is similar to how they appeared in the Superman spin-off.

Nikki is shown as a confident goth girl who doesn’t care about what others think. She’s been Jessica’s best friend forever and is very protective of her, sometimes too protective. According to the comics, Nikki is probably based on Nicki Jones, a character who later becomes the new Jade in Lex Luthor’s Infinity Inc. Nicki first appeared in 52 issue #29 in 2007. She was created by some big names like Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison.

Another character, Alex DeWitt, will also be in the show. She’s the popular girl at school, a softball star, and the daughter of politicians. In the comics, Alex was Kyle Rayner’s first love, but her story took a dark turn when she was killed by a villain named Major Force in a well-known and tragic storyline.

Kilowog is another important figure in the show. Like the other Green Lanterns, he’s a warrior monk and is described as the last surviving Green Lantern. Something happened in his past that led to the fall of the Green Lantern Corps. Now, Kilowog acts as a mentor to Jessica, guiding her on how to use her powers.

Kilowog’s comic history goes way back, he lost his home planet during a massive event called Crisis on Infinite Earths and is best known as the tough drill instructor to the Green Lanterns, especially Hal Jordan.

As of now, there’s no word on when My Adventures With Green Lantern will be released, but fans are eagerly waiting to see how this new story unfolds.
