From Corset to Curve-Hugging Black Minidress: Margot Robbie Stuns in Paris ‘Wuthering Heights’ Premiere
Margot Robbie is once again proving that when it comes to “method dressing,” she is in a league of her own.
The 35-year-old actress arrived in Paris on Monday, February 2, to continue the high-fashion blitz for her upcoming gothic drama, Wuthering Heights. Joined by co-stars Jacob Elordi and Shazad Latif, as well as director Emerald Fennell, Robbie turned the City of Light into a runway for Emily Brontë-inspired couture.
For the afternoon photo call, Robbie made a striking statement in a custom Thom Browne ensemble. The look featured a black silk moiré and lace peplum off-the-shoulder corset dress, uniquely styled with a suspended “garter” skirt detail that hovered just below the hemline.

The fashion marathon didn’t stop there. For the premiere’s after-party, Robbie returned to her Thom Browne look from earlier in the day, but with a practical twist. She removed the suspended outer skirt, transforming the outfit into a sleek, comfortable minidress perfect for a night of celebration. This “two-in-one” approach has become a hallmark of her recent tours, blending high-concept art with the reality of a busy press schedule.

Wuthering Heights is set to open in theaters on February 13, perfectly timed for the Valentine’s Day weekend. The film is already generating massive buzz, with early box office forecasts predicting a dominant opening weekend between $45 million and $60 million. Director Emerald Fennell, known for the provocative Saltburn, has promised a “wild and passionate” reimagining of the classic 1847 novel, featuring a soundtrack by Grammy winner Charli XCX.
While Robbie has been focused on her role as Catherine Earnshaw, her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, has been equally busy. She is in the early stages of producing the much-anticipated The Sims movie, a live-action adaptation of the iconic life-simulation game.
Jacob Elordi, who plays the brooding Heathcliff opposite Robbie, is also coming off a prolific year. Following his breakout turn in Euphoria and his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Priscilla, Elordi also starred as the monster in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. The supporting cast of Wuthering Heights is just as impressive, featuring Hong Chau, Ewan Mitchell, and Alison Oliver.
Do you think Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi will have the same electric chemistry as previous iterations of Catherine and Heathcliff, or is Emerald Fennell’s “scandalous” vision too much of a departure from the book? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
