Few TV families have stayed as close to their fans as the Tanners and the Katsopolises, and a ‘Full House’ reunion always draws attention. The sitcom ran on ABC and later returned with the 2016 Netflix reboot ‘Fuller House,’ and its stars have kept finding reasons to come together. This week’s gathering had an especially meaningful purpose.

For years, the late Bob Saget was the heart of an annual comedy benefit for the Scleroderma Research Foundation. He joined the foundation’s board in 2003, though his involvement began in 1991 when he attended and performed at the event. His passion was personal, because his sister Gay died of scleroderma in 1994, and he spent decades raising money and awareness for the disease until his death in January 2022 at age 65.

That event is Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine, which was founded in 1987 by the foundation’s founder, Sharon Monsky, and board member Susan Feniger. It has raised more than $30 million for scleroderma research, and it continued after Saget’s death in collaboration with his family and friends. Last year’s edition raised more than $1.2 million, honoring Adam Duritz of Counting Crows.

On Tuesday, October 13, the 2026 edition took place at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, in Beverly Hills. The red carpet brought together Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin, who posed together for photos and snapped selfies in front of the foundation’s backdrop. It was described as a rare public appearance for Bure with her on-screen family.

The night’s main honoree was Stamos, who received the Bob Saget Legacy Award. The award is named for his late co-star, and past recipients include John Mayer and Jeff Ross, who were recognized in 2024 for helping Saget raise funds and awareness over the years. Ross hosted this year’s event.

Bure told People on the red carpet that the cast all love Saget, who came to the event year after year. She said it is important to raise awareness and money for scleroderma and also to keep his legacy alive. That message set the tone for a night that mixed celebration with remembrance.

The photos show a close-knit group, with Loughlin sharing a hug and Bure and Sweetin smiling beside Stamos. In the pictures, Stamos is in a dark suit while Bure wears a plaid blazer over a gray corset-style top. It’s a warm moment for fans who grew up watching the family on TV.

This isn’t the cast’s only recent get-together. In August, Loughlin, Sweetin, Stamos, Dave Coulier and Andrea Barber reunited in person, without Bure, for a dance video to C+C Music Factory’s ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).’ They shared it on Instagram, and it marked Loughlin’s return to the platform.

In that clip, the actors each recorded from separate locations, looking into the camera and saying “Wake up, San Francisco!” The skit nodded to Loughlin’s character, Rebecca Donaldson, who co-hosts a morning show with Saget’s Danny Tanner. So the Beverly Wilshire reunion felt like another step in a bigger reunion streak.

Loughlin joined ‘Full House’ in 1988 for a 6-episode romance arc with Uncle Jesse but ended up staying until the end of the series. Stamos, Bure, Sweetin and the rest of the cast became one of the best-known sitcom families of their era. That long history explains why fans tend to celebrate every time the group gets together.

Bure has also been in the news for her family life, as she now has 2 grandchildren. That adds another layer to the sense that the cast has grown up together, both on and off screen. Moments like this red carpet remind fans of how long the show has stayed in the culture.

For Saget’s friends and colleagues, the night was also a way of keeping his mission going. Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine remains a fundraiser for research into a rare autoimmune disease, and each new honoree helps keep attention on the cause. The cast’s presence helps put scleroderma in front of a wider audience.
