‘Ghosted’ Star Ana de Armas Ends Her Quiet Streak With Fresh Photos as Her Big Comeback Slate Takes Shape
Ana de Armas has never been the type to overshare, which is why new photos from the Cuban-Spanish star tend to travel fast. Fans are always watching for hints of what the Oscar nominee is up to next, and her latest Instagram activity has them talking. She earned her Academy Award nomination for ‘Blonde’ and has kept much of her life away from the spotlight.
It has been a surprisingly quiet stretch for one of Hollywood’s busiest leading ladies. De Armas hasn’t had a new acting credit in 2026, with her most recent roles coming in 2025’s ‘Ballerina’ and Ron Howard’s ‘Eden.’ Her previous Instagram post before the latest update arrived on Sept. 9.

That silence ended on Oct. 1. The actress dropped a carousel of 11 photos and 2 videos to her roughly 16 million followers, with no caption and a Parcels track playing over the footage.
The highlights lean into a relaxed, off-duty mood. One image is a close-up selfie in a dark cap and pink top with layered necklaces, while another is a mirror shot in a grey knit top and dark jeans against a pink wall painted with leafy vines. Clues in the set, including an aerial view of the island of Lefkada, suggest she was on a getaway in Greece.
The latest image making the rounds on X is another mirror selfie, this time a simple gym-style look. De Armas wears a white tank top and black leggings with a delicate gold necklace, her hair pulled back and her phone in hand. Fans have long followed her workout routine, and earlier this year she was photographed on several occasions heading to and from the gym.
The timing of her workouts is no coincidence. One of her next projects is ‘Sweat,’ a psychological thriller directed by J Blakeson, in which she plays rising fitness influencer Emma Kent, who dreams of matching the success of her idol, social media superstar Kat Highbrook. The film is based on Magnus von Horn’s Polish Cannes-selected hit, and production was set to begin on March 30 in Los Angeles and the U.K.
There is much more in the pipeline. She stars alongside Benicio del Toro and Cameron Diaz in Grant Singer’s thriller ‘Reenactment,’ which is in post-production. She is also attached to the Apple TV+ series ‘Bananas’ opposite Oscar Isaac and to the espionage thriller ‘Impunity’ with Sebastian Stan, which dramatizes the legal case surrounding Augusto Pinochet’s arrest in London in 1998.
Deadline also reported that de Armas will star with Kate Hudson in the erotic thriller ‘Palm Grove,’ directed by Kornél Mundruczó. She is attached as well to Doug Liman’s sci-fi horror ‘Deeper’ alongside Tom Cruise.
De Armas first gained global recognition with Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out,’ which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Since then, she has starred in major projects like ‘No Time to Die,’ ‘Blade Runner 2049,’ ‘The Gray Man,’ ‘Ghosted’ and ‘Ballerina.’ That résumé explains why each glimpse of her feels like a small event for fans.
With so many films on the horizon, the actress’s quiet 2026 looks more like a calm before a busy stretch than a retreat from the screen.
