Throughout awards season, Hudson has had support from loved ones, including her fiancé Danny Fujikawa. The couple has been together since 2016 and share daughter Rani Rose, 7. Hudson also has two older children, Ryder, 22, and Bingham, 14. Earlier in the month, she brought her brother Oliver Hudson as a last-minute date to the SAG Actor Awards after Fujikawa fell ill.
“Danny got, like, crazy sick, and I was like, ‘Oliver, you need to be my date!’” she explained. Oliver, 49, wore a tuxedo originally purchased for a 2007 premiere. “It’s literally vintage Tom Ford because I’ve just had it for that long,” he joked.
On her engagement to Fujikawa, Hudson has expressed that she is in no rush to tie the knot. “I like the idea of being engaged forever,” she told The Drew Barrymore Show in 2025. “I love it, but then … I long for the gravy boat [off the wedding registry]. This is part of the dilemma. Also, though, the contractual thing is tough for me. I like my freedom.”
She added that being raised by Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who never legally married, influenced her view on engagement and commitment.
