Rockstar Games has kept the music for Grand Theft Auto VI a complete mystery, leaving fans to guess which artists might appear in the game.

However, Philadelphia rapper Jermaine Edwards, better known as Skrilla, is claiming to beat Rockstar to the punch.

The 26-year-old says that his viral track “Doot Doot” will be featured in the game. The song became a hit on TikTok earlier this year, thanks to the “6-7 meme,” and also went viral on Instagram Reels.

It was released as a single in February and has racked up 44 million streams on Spotify, which is high compared to his other releases.

Skrilla discussed the claim on Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast, adding that he might also appear in the game as a character or that a character could be based on him. He didn’t provide further details, so it’s unclear exactly how he will be represented in GTA 6.

It’s worth noting that in the past, some artists have confused GTA Online with GTA 6, so this could be another example of early speculation. Rockstar Games has not confirmed Skrilla’s involvement, and it’s unlikely they will comment before the game’s release.

Skrilla’s claims have sparked excitement among fans who are already anticipating GTA 6. The viral nature of “Doot Doot” could make it one of the most talked-about tracks in the game’s soundtrack if the rapper’s claim proves true.

It would be exciting to see viral artists like Skrilla featured in GTA 6, as it could bring fresh energy to the game’s music lineup. What do you think about this potential addition to the soundtrack? Share your thoughts in the comments.
