Gwyneth Paltrow, 53, and Kate Hudson, 46, Set the Red Carpet on Fire in Pink
A big red carpet moment happened on February 13 at the 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow arrived in soft pink outfits that quickly became one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the night.
The event centered on the Arlington Artist of the Year Award. Hudson received the honor for her role in the musical film Song Sung Blue. The performance has already brought her major award nominations, including the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Academy Awards. She is the second winner of this new prize. Timothée Chalamet received it the year before.

In the movie she stars alongside Hugh Jackman as a couple who rebuild their lives by performing in a tribute band inspired by Neil Diamond.

Paltrow attended the ceremony to support Hudson. Their friendship goes back many years. She once threw Hudson a big birthday party and called her “my younger sister” in a post on Instagram. They also bonded as parents because their children went to the same school and both experienced the moment when their kids left for college.
Fashion became a key topic of the evening. Hudson wore a long pink gown covered in crystals that reflected the lights on the carpet. The dress had thin straps and soft folds, and she kept her hair down in loose waves. Paltrow chose a pale pink outfit with a bandeau top, mini skirt and sheer layer on top, finished with matching heels and a high ponytail. Their looks matched in tone and gave the red carpet a strong Valentine vibe.
This moment shows how red carpet fashion can still create real buzz and highlight strong friendships in Hollywood. Seeing two stars support each other while making a fashion statement feels refreshing. What do you think about their pink red carpet moment? Share your thoughts in the comments.
