Gwyneth Paltrow once opened up about her past relationships in a very direct way. During an appearance on the podcast Call Her Daddy, she spoke honestly about her history with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, giving fans a rare look into her personal life.

The conversation, which was shared publicly through the podcast, quickly caught attention because of how open she was. At one point, she was asked to compare her past partners, including who was better in bed. She admitted the question was not easy to answer, calling it “really hard.”

Still, she gave a clear comparison. Speaking about Pitt, she said “Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, kind of, at the time,” while describing Affleck differently, saying “Ben was, like, technically excellent.” She also joked about how personal the topic was, adding “I can’t believe my daughter’s listening to this.”

The interview did not stop there. Paltrow also took part in a lighthearted game involving Pitt, Affleck, and her ex-husband Chris Martin. When it came to marriage, she made it clear she would choose Martin again, saying “I would do that all again.” In the same game, she chose Pitt for a romantic connection, leaving Affleck as the last option, adding “Ben, yeah, god bless him.”

She also looked back at her relationship with Pitt in more detail. She described their early connection as intense, saying “major love at first sight, it was crazy.” However, she explained that she ended their engagement because she felt she still had growing to do. Reflecting on that time, she said “I had a lot of development to do, looking back in hindsight.”

Paltrow spoke about how she only started to fully understand herself later in life. She shared that she struggled to follow her instincts when she was younger, explaining “I didn’t really even understand how to listen to my instincts and act from that place.” Even so, she had kind words for Pitt, calling him “a great guy” and adding “He’s wonderful, I really like him a lot.”

The interview, as presented on the podcast, shows a more open and reflective side of Paltrow. She speaks honestly about love, growth, and past decisions without trying to soften her words.

This kind of honesty is what keeps people interested. It feels real, even if it is a bit uncomfortable at times. It also shows how much people can change over time.
