Halle Berry, 59, is being refreshingly honest about her approach to intimacy. The Oscar-winning actress recently spoke openly on a preview of the podcast Sex With Emily, revealing she no longer fakes orgasms to protect her partner’s feelings.

Berry explained that in the past, many women felt pressure to act satisfied during sex. “We had to say that we did it so that he would feel good about himself,” she said. However, she made it clear that mindset no longer works for her.

Now, Berry prioritizes mutual pleasure. She emphasized that both partners should feel fully satisfied after intimacy. “I’m like, ‘No, I c** first like you c** first to you. We both deserve to have this be a mutually enjoyable experience where we both can roll over and go to sleep because we feel good. Not one snoring and one looking… [like], ‘What the f*** am I doing?’” she shared.

The discussion comes as Berry celebrates her engagement to musician Van Hunt. The couple has been together since April 2020, and previously said marriage was never a requirement for their relationship, according to Complex. Berry has been married three times before, to David Justice, Eric Benét, and Olivier Martinez, and is a mother to two children, Nahla Ariela Aubry and Maceo-Robert Martinez.

Berry has enjoyed a long and versatile career in Hollywood. She made history with Monster’s Ball, becoming the first Black woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress. She later took on iconic roles such as Storm in the X-Men series and the title role in Catwoman. Her career also includes crowd-pleasers like Die Another Day, and she was recently seen in Crime 101 alongside Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth.

Berry’s openness about intimacy shows her willingness to speak honestly about topics often considered private. It’s clear that she values honesty and balance in her relationships, just as she has pursued authenticity in her career.

It’s empowering to hear a celebrity of her stature speak so openly about sexual honesty and mutual satisfaction. What do you think about Halle Berry’s take on intimacy? Share your thoughts in the comments.
