Harrison Ford is known for playing calm and confident characters, but behind the scenes, things were not always so smooth. During the early days of Star Wars, he had a moment on set that shocked people around him.

Before becoming a major star, Ford worked as a carpenter. He was skilled with tools, and that became important during one tense situation while filming. According to his co-star Mark Hamill, Ford lost his temper and went after part of the set.

The moment involved the Millennium Falcon, one of the most famous sets in the film. It was built mainly from wood. Hamill recalled that Ford picked up a saw and started cutting into it. People on set quickly became worried and rushed to stop him before serious damage was done.

Hamill described the scene by saying, “You heard about Harrison taking a saw to the Millennium Falcon because he got so mad? People were coming up to me going, ‘You’ve gotta stop Harrison, he’s sawing up the Falcon!’ It was made of wood and he just took a saw to it. I love Harrison.” The exact reason for Ford’s anger was never made clear, but it was enough to push him to that point.

Over time, Ford’s connection with Star Wars has always been a bit complicated. Even though he became one of the most recognizable faces from the series, he has not always shown interest in talking about it years later.

Years after that early incident, he returned to the same set for The Force Awakens. During filming, he suffered a serious injury when a heavy door fell on his leg. Some fans later joked about the moment, linking it back to the earlier story involving the set.

The situation from the original film shows a different side of Ford. Most actors might express frustration with words, but he had the skills to actually damage the set if no one stepped in.

Long hours and pressure can push anyone too far. At the same time, it is lucky that nothing worse happened.
