‘Harry Potter’ Star Opens up About Onlyfans Income

Jessie Cave has found an unexpected source of financial success after years of working as an actress. The Harry Potter star says her time on OnlyFans has brought in more money than her entire acting career.

Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films, joined the platform in 2025. She initially saw it as a short-term way to make some extra money while figuring out what to do next. Instead, it quickly became a major source of income.

In a new interview with The Times, Cave revealed just how much the platform has changed her finances. “I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” she said.

Cave charges subscribers $6 a month for access to her content. She can also earn additional money through paid messages. At one point, she said she made £15,000, or around $20,000, in a single day.

The actress said she never expected the arrangement to last this long. When she first joined, she thought she might make a few thousand pounds and move on.

“I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” Cave explained. “But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”

Cave said financial pressure played a major role in her decision. She is a mother of four and described reaching a point where she felt she had few options after struggling to find acting work.

She said traditional jobs also came with problems because of childcare costs and her public profile.

“I couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me as I work at Tesco,” she said.

Her OnlyFans page is also different from what many people may expect. Cave said she posts non-explicit content focused mainly on her long hair and a niche fetish audience. She often remains fully clothed and sometimes uses costumes or themed outfits.

“My rule is the hair is the main character,” she said. “That’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.”

Cave also admitted that joining the platform comes with a stigma because OnlyFans is widely associated with adult content.

“There is a stigma,” she said. “I didn’t really understand the risk of people thinking I’m doing porn.”

Still, Cave believes the platform gave her something she had been missing. After having four children and spending years feeling overlooked, she said the attention was part of the appeal.

“For so long I’ve just been this quirky figure. After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.”

For Cave, what started as a temporary financial plan has turned into one of the most profitable chapters of her career.
