Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween transformation is usually the main event, but this year’s costume came with an unexpected bonus for comic book fans. The Heidi Klum Halloween costume leak has Batman fans pouring over background shots from her makeup team’s workshop. Her costume reveal landed at her annual New York party on October 31, and the behind-the-scenes material came out right afterward.

Klum went as a giant severed hand this year, following through on her promise that the look would be gory. The costume was built by prosthetic makeup designer Mike Marino and his Prosthetic Renaissance team, longtime collaborators on her annual transformations. Marino is also the artist who turned Colin Farrell into The Penguin, and he has returned for ‘The Batman Part II.’

It turns out the workshop where Klum’s hand was being sculpted doubles as a staging area for ‘The Batman Part II.’ In the behind-the-scenes post, shelves in the background hold molds and casts that fans quickly started decoding. The most talked-about piece is a face sculpt of Brian Tyree Henry, scarred on one side with the classic Two-Face mouth from the comics and animated series.

There is also a denture cast that fans have linked to Harvey Dent and his Two-Face transformation. On the shelves, a mold labeled “Zsasz” appears alongside a box marked “Owl 3.” Another item reportedly carries the label “Koch,” which would suggest Sebastian Koch’s character will also have some form of makeup.

‘The Batman Part II’ Reportedly Hit Another Snag on Set This Month

Warner Bros. and Matt Reeves announced Henry and Koch as new cast members in May without revealing their roles. Early speculation had Sebastian Stan playing Harvey Dent, but a June report flipped that, saying Stan would play Victor Zsasz while Henry would be Dent. The reported plan is for Two-Face to be brought to life through practical makeup.

The Klum leak lines up neatly with that report. A Henry face cast showing a disfigured lip is hard to read any other way, and the “Zsasz” label appears to support the idea that the villain is indeed in the film. Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance and Koch are also among the newcomers whose roles haven’t been officially confirmed.

The “Owl 3” box has fans buzzing about a bigger story. The Court of Owls is a secret society, created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, that has secretly controlled Gotham for centuries. Set photos from over the summer had already pointed toward the Court, so the new label feels like another breadcrumb rather than a surprise.

That has also reignited casting theories. Dance was once rumored to be playing Harvey Dent’s father, but with Henry apparently playing Dent himself, some now think Dance could be the Court’s Grandmaster. That remains pure speculation until Reeves says otherwise.

It’s worth keeping some perspective. The connection between Klum’s makeup team and the movie comes from fan detective work, and none of it has been confirmed by Warner Bros., DC Studios or Reeves. Some outlets have also pointed out that this isn’t a huge spoiler, since trailers will eventually reveal who Henry and Stan are playing anyway.

Still, the timing is delicious. Marino has said he’s a comic book nerd and that doing “some really cool makeup” on the sequel is a dream scenario, which makes it easy to understand how a stray shelf of casts ended up in the shot.

Fans hoping to see any of this on screen will need patience. ‘The Batman Part II’ has been delayed again and is now set for February 18, 2028, pushed back from October 1, 2027, and originally slated for October 3, 2025. The cast also includes returning faces such as Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright.

That gives theorists plenty of time to keep comparing molds, labels and set photos. If Klum’s workshop is any indication, Reeves’ Gotham is about to get a lot more disfigured, masked and strange.

Do you think Brian Tyree Henry is playing Two-Face in The Batman Part II?
